LeBron Raymone James Sr. - born 30 December 1984 - is an professional American basketball star. Nicknamed King James he is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players ever and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player ever. James has won two Olympic golds and four NBA championships. James is the holder of the highest amount of points scored during the postseason, second highest overall career score and 7th highest number of career assists. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. Ten NBA Finals is the most ever. He has also won eight times in succession between 2011 and 2018; He was also picked for The NBA 75th Anniversary team. James was chosen to be part of the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. James became the first NBA player with 10,000 points, rebounds and assist in 2022. James played basketball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media for his potential as an NBA star. He was a prep-to pro and selected with the top choice by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. As the NBA rookie player of 2004, he established himself quickly as one of the most elite players in the league, receiving the NBA MVP awards for 2009 and 2010. James signed with the Miami Heat in 2010 when James became a Free Agent after not achieving an NBA Championship in Cleveland. The announcement of his departure was broadcast on The Decision.
